The Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and Chief Conductor and Music Director Arvo Volmer, are proud to present their 2010 Season incorporating great classics, debut
performances and a smorgasbord of events showcasing the ASO with performances ranging from Beethoven to The Beatles.

Highlights of Season 2010 include:
Burt Bacharach makes a much anticipated return to Adelaide and the ASO.
Chefs Maggie Beer and Simon Bryant star with the ASO bringing their sumptuous cuisine to the symphony for a gastronomic musical event.
The ASO performs the music of The Beatles in a tribute to the greatest group in history.
Chief Conductor and Music Director, Arvo Volmer renews his contract until 2013 with an historic performance of Mahler’s Eighth symphony as part of 2010 Adelaide Festival of Arts.
Returning guest conductors and soloists include Sebastian Lang – Lessing, Kristjan Järvi, Dmitry Sitkovetsky, James Ehnes and Feng Ning
Richard Tognetti makes his ASO debut and Australian conducting debut with the ASO.
Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Chief Conductor Oleg Caetani makes his South Australian debut with the ASO.
Soloists making their debuts with the ASO include pianists Konstantin Shamray and Max Foster and conductor Alexander Vedernikov.
The ASO perform a special Concert for the Earth to create awareness about climate change with a special commission inspired by this global issue.
Arvo Volmer presents the works of Robert Schumann in the Schumann Festival at the Adelaide Town Hall.
