ASO Professional Pathways

If you are a musician considering a career in the performing arts or want to explore career options and pathways within the industry, then this program is for you!

In 2017, we invite young and emerging musicians to immerse themselves in ASO Professional Pathways program which aims to inspire, nurture and opens doors to a creative future.

Professional Pathways gives you the artistic edge through exclusive access to ASO rehearsals, workshops, artists talks and masterclasses.

Students must commit to attend a minimum of six activities over the course of the year to complete the program.

Cost

$150 per year (inclusive of ASO Student Live Pass)

Exclusive up close and personal Q&A sessions with internationally acclaimed musicians, conductors and composers as they feature throughout the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra’s 2017 Season.

Auditions

Hear the orchestra rehearse some of the most frequently selected repertoire for orchestral auditions. Attend an exclusive excerpt masterclass and learn what it takes to be successful in an audition situation.

Music Education

Discover your own inner creative voice while learning new skills and ideas for encouraging creativity in education. Consider effective ways to place music education at the heart of everyday learning.

Music Leadership

Develop your music leadership and presentation skills through involvement in the ASO learning and community programs.

Performance

Experience what it is like to play in a professional symphony orchestra and develop your orchestral and creative ensemble skills in the ASO Big Rehearsals Masters program (separate application process applies).

Arts Management

Hear from members of the ASO Management Team and learn about the diverse administrative and management roles and opportunities within arts organisations.

Rehearsals

Observe the orchestra as they prepare for unique programs across diverse music genres and with guest artists.
