Fortunes Fool

Paul Rissmann - Presenter
Graham Abbott - Conductor

For the first time in 2017, the ASO's Festival of Learning & Participation includes an exciting program designed specifically to connect high school students with the orchestra.

Fortune’s Fool reveals three composers’ imaginings of Shakespeare’s tragic love story, Romeo and Juliet. Throughout this innovative and dynamic performance, Rissmann will explore three contrasting works: Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet, Bernstein’s Westside Story, and Craig Armstrong’s unforgettable score to Baz Luhrmann’s award winning film Romeo & Juliet. Selected students will have a once in a lifetime opportunity to stand on stage and narrate words from Shakespeare’s text, accompanied by the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra.

Creative learning resource provided to all attending schools.
