In the ASO’s opening concert of the year our Chief Conductor and Concertmaster share the stage in a spectacular night of dazzling orchestral colour and virtuosity: Wagner’s heroic Prelude from Die Meistersinger is followed by Sibelius’ precocious Violin Concerto and the concert comes to a climax with Berlioz’s psychedelic Symphonie Fantastique.
