Will this event go ahead in the case of rain?

This event will proceed in the case of light rain. If there is severe weather (including heavy rain or strong winds), we will contact ticket holders directly via SMS.

Will there be food and drinks available?

There will be a range of bars and food trucks available from 6pm when gates open.

Do I need to bring my own chair?

No, this a seated venue with chairs provided. If you are seated in the Steps, you are encouraged to bring your own cushion for comfort.

Concert Update

ASO follows SA Health advice as it relates to seating and venue arrangements. This advice can change at short notice. Rest assured the ASO will contact you ASAP if there are changes to your event.

Free Family Fun at FOFO

Held over two consecutive weekends 27-28 Nov and 4-5 Dec at Adelaide Showground, ASO’s Free Family Fun days will have something for everyone young and old.

Festival of Orchestra

Festival of Orchestra (FOFO) will showcase the incredible talents and versatility of the ASO, including the epic Carmina burana, dance anthems re-orchestrated with Ministry of Sound, Blue Planet II Live in Concert with host Dr Karl, and much more.

With a colourful, carnival-like atmosphere, the inaugural Festival of Orchestra will bring you the joy of discovery, the pleasure in sharing music you know and love, and the opportunity to create a space for music with the ASO like never before.

Food and drinks at FOFO

Freshly made paella, authentic Indian cuisine and gourmet burgers are just some of the delicious food options on offer. There’ll be a range of options including gluten free, vegetarian and vegan. Come along from 6pm to grab a drink and a bite to eat and make the most of the incredible atmosphere at Festival of Orchestra!

Are you under 30?

Festival of Orchestra concerts have discounted pricing for anyone under 30, with single tickets starting at $44! Plus access additional savings when you book 2 or more concerts in the same transaction.

Adelaide Showground Seating Options

The Lawn

The Lawn features individual reserved seating and is the area situated closest to the stage. This seating area is ground level, with standard plastic chairs, without armrests.
Accessible seating is available throughout this area – book in the rear row of each section for the easiest access. Patrons requiring the use of wheelchairs may also utilise a raised seating platform for elevated viewing if required.

The Garden

The Garden features spacious picnic table style seating. Picnic tables can be booked in groups of four to six. To book in The Garden, please contact our box office on 8233 6226. Please be advised this is ground level bench seating, without a backrest.

The Steps

The Steps is our General Admission seating option. This steeply tiered seating has great sightlines to the stage. The Steps have no backrests, and we suggest bringing your own cushions/blankets to place on the risers for comfort.
Patrons will be required to climb (up to 7) large cement steps to gain access to the raised seating. The Steps area is not wheelchair accessible or suitable for anyone with access needs.
