In order to get to this moment, stepping on stage, heart pounding as the audience awaits in anticipation, the young people you will see have worked hard with their Adelaide Symphony Orchestra mentors across a week of intense workshops to create something truly original.

Under the watchful eye of internationally acclaimed Creative Director Paul Rissmann, Choreographer Carlie Angel, and three ASO mentors, these musicians and dancers will create something one-of-a-kind; a unique concert experience that will showcase the power of creative potential in young people.

In the lead up to this concert, participants will have been in 5 days of creative workshops, pushing their practice both individually and as an ensemble. Dancers will develop their craft and new choreography with Carlie Angel, and the musicians analyse, break down and re-imagine a new composition based on Copland's Appalachian Spring ballet music.

Then concert day arrives, where it all comes together with their ASO peers and the final finessing is cemented during dress rehearsal. Now it's concert time! This is their moment to shine, for them to unleash upon the world their incredible journey in creating a brand new music and dance work that you will be the first to experience.
