Walter van Dyk
Walter van Dyk, actor A performer on London’s West End stage, he also appears frequently on screen. Walter is currently filming on a Warner Bros. feature film due for theatrical release in 2028 and recently filmed on Simon West’s new World War II epic Operation Fortitude starring Nicholas Cage. He can be seen in both the recent BBC series Steeltown Murders and The Gold (starring Hugh Bonneville) and playing opposite Jodie Foster in the feature film The Mauritanian.
Walter enjoys regularly working with musicians most recently portraying Sir Edward Elgar with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra in the UK. In 2023 he performed his Kurt Weill cabaret O Moon of Alabama at the UKARIA Festival in Australia along with Schoenberg’s Ode to Napoleon and that same year took on the role of Haushofmeister in Ariadne auf Naxos at Garsington Opera in the UK. He narrated L’Histoire du Babar with Angela Hewitt and performed Stravinsky’s L’Histoire du Soldat with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra at the Trasimeno Music Festival in Italy. Apart from also performing with orchestras such as the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, and Irish Chamber Orchestra, his festival appearances in the United States include the Skaneateles Festival, Yellow Barn Music Festival and Music for Salem in NY as well as being a frequent performer in the UK at the Peasmarsh Chamber Music Festival, the Lincolnshire International Chamber Music Festival, Aldeburgh Festival, and Cheltenham International Music Festival. Walter is delighted to be back in Australia.
