Alexandra Bollard

Alexandra graduated with a Bachelor of Music with Honours from the Elder Conservatorium of Music in 2006, under the tuition of Rosalind Martin. She is a core member of the Adelaide Chamber Singers, and has toured with them to Austria, Canada, France, Italy, the UK and the US. Alexandra has appeared as a soloist within the choir, featuring in performances of Messiah. She has also performed with vocal group, Syntony in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas. Alexandra has been a chorus member of the State Opera of South Australia from 2007. She has also appeared as a soloist with Adelaide choirs, including the Corinthian Singers of Adelaide and The Graduate Singers. She has frequently performed at the Adelaide Fringe Festival and Adelaide Festival as both soloist and ensemble member.

Alexandra is a classroom music teacher at St Mary’s College, taking a number of their choirs, including the Eisteddfod winning Senior Concert Choir, who have previously performed with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra in a combined performance of Benjamin Britten’s Saint Nicolas. She has participated in many choral conducting workshops, most notably with Gondwana Choirs at their National Choral School, and Stephen Cleobury, conductor of the Choir of King’s College, Cambridge. Alexandra also takes string ensembles at the college, and has directed two whole school productions.
