Byron has over 30 years’ experience at a senior management level in commercial and business enterprises.
For the past 15 years he has been the Chief Executive Officer of Health Partners Limited, a not for profit, member owned, private health insurer.
He brings to the ASO, experience and insight into community and member engagement, the development of strategy for not for profit organisations and liaising with and working with Government.
His skills and experience in commerce and in particular, member based organisations, assists the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra in achieving its strategy of being a leader in the arts community, ensuring access to orchestral music to a broad audience and ensuring a culture of sound governance and financial management.
