About
Warm, mellow and songful – Mozart’s final piano concerto is one of his most intimate and reflective. The interplay between soloist and orchestra is gossamer in its lightness, with the winds and strings skipping delicately with the piano towards the final bars. Haydn’s symphony takes us on a whirlwind musical ride finishing with a high-spirited finale, as the main tunes are thrown around like a game of catch between strings, bassoon, flute and trumpets.
