Glenys March

Glenys has long been highly regarded as an interpreter and performer of Baroque repertoire. Over a career spanning more than 30 years, she has performed in festivals both locally and interstate with leading ensembles and baroque specialists from Australia and overseas.

She performs regularly as a member of Adelaide based Ensemble Galante, and enjoys working with other ensembles, most notably the recently formed Adelaide Cantata Band, Various People, and Adelaide Baroque.

Glenys has lectured and tutored in baroque performance at the Victorian College of the Arts, the Flinders Street School of Music, and the Elder Conservatorium of Music.

After piano studies in Adelaide, she completed the Graduate Diploma in Music at the Victorian college of the Arts, specialising in organ, harpsichord and baroque performance practice. She was awarded an Australia Council grant, enabling further study in Europe with musicologist and organist Luigi Tagliavini.
