The concert opens with a musical love letter to home, Miriam Hyde’s An Adelaide Overture – evoking a lyrical sense of place. Strauss’s Horn Concerto No.2 follows, bringing warmth and wit to the spotlight in the hands of ASO Principal Horn Adrian Uren. The satisfying melodies of Mozart’s Symphony No.29 round out this celebratory program with buoyant strings and elegant woodwinds.
