Venues & Accessibility
Each year the ASO brings music to life across various venues in South Australia. Our primary venues are Adelaide Town Hall, Grainger Studio, St Peter’s Cathedral, Elder Hall, Festival Theatre and Adelaide Entertainment Centre Arena.
Accessibility
We strive to make every performance and space inviting, safe, and accessible for all who share a love for music. For detailed accessibility information about ASO venues, please visit the pages below.
All our primary venues are wheelchair accessible with accessible seating options available. We also proudly accept the Companion Card for all ASO concerts.

Adelaide Town Hall
The Adelaide Town Hall is one of the primary venues in which the ASO performs. Visiting conductors and soloists often remark on its beautiful acoustic and intimate connection to audiences.
-
Elder Hall
Elder Hall is regularly home to ASO’s Matinee Series, with a fine acoustic for orchestral music.
-
St Peter’s Cathedral
St Peter’s Cathedral is regularly home to ASO’s Sacred & Profane Series.
-
Grainger Studio
Grainger Studio is the home of the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and where weekly orchestral rehearsals take place for our 75 musicians.
-
Festival Theatre
The Festival Theatre, in the Adelaide Festival Centre, is one of the ASO’s primary performance venues. It also hosts State Opera of SA and Australian Ballet mainstage performances, cultural organisations with whom the ASO collaborates regularly.
-
Adelaide Entertainment Centre
The Adelaide Entertainment Centre is one of the primary venues for ASO concerts – especially film projects – as the venue has enough room to house giant screen, a stage full of musicians while enabling good sight lines for audiences.
