Respighi evokes the Fountains of Rome in his spectacular orchestral postcard; Australian composer Lisa Illean paints a hushed, delicate water picture in Land’s End; and the mighty landscapes of Sibelius’ native Finland come to photorealistic life in his Fifth Symphony. Joe Chindamo’s new concerto is tailor-made for the talents of ASO principal trombone Colin Prichard.
Classical Conversations
Join us at the Meeting Hall (located just behind Adelaide Town Hall) one hour before the concert for Classical Conversations and hear from composer Joe Chindamo and ASO’s Artistic Director Simon Lord.
