About

Follow the ripples of a mountain stream as it flows into the city of Prague in Smetana’s illustrative homage to his homeland, The Moldau. This evocative program also features a rhapsody from Janáček, confronting the full gamut of emotions that arise during love and war. Mozart’s solemn and gracious Masonic Funeral Music will unfurl, before Prokofiev’s dynamic Violin Concerto No.2 is performed by the ASO’s Concertmaster, Kate Suthers.

Kate Suthers is generously supported by Colin Dunsford AM in memory of Lib Dunsford.
