Turbulent tales unfold before you
Grip the edge of your seat during Schumann’s brooding Manfred. Violins dance between tension and turmoil in this dramatic overture based on Lord Byron’s gothic ghost story. The tale continues to unfold with Tchaikovsky’s turbulent interpretation: the full might of the orchestra envelops you in the darkness of our doomed protagonist. Between these intense symphonic works, you’ll hear Pejačević’s dynamic Phantasie Concertante. Clashing cymbals are only the beginning of this stimulating piece that’s jam-packed with orchestral colour and fierce emotion.
